Box of Sin (2015)
Box of Sin (2015) is the first in a series of micro-installations by Suzy Kellems Dominik. The piece is comprised of lucite sculpture, multi-media imagery printed on brushed dibond, the written and painted word, and a multi-layered soundtrack played through an iPod Nano with earphones. Taken as a whole, Box of Sin examines the seven deadly sins; the vices as illustrated through Christian teachings. Kellems Dominik has created a distinctly unique, intimate moment and gives life, intentionality and emotion to her inanimate muses. The subjects of the work are notable for their individuality and yet rendered inaccessible, as caricatures of true human identity.
As with Kellems Dominik’s scaled-to-life installations, the work integrates lucite sculpture, multi-media imagery printed on brushed Dibond, the written and painted word, and a multi-layered soundtrack, delivered to the viewer via personal headphones.
Box of Sin, 2015, Micro-Installation Lucite Sculpture (6in L x 8in W x 12in H). Contains 5 Brushed Dibond Prints.
